The Top 8 Worst Things that Sasaeng Fans Did

 Last March 26, news about the chainsaw attack to Japan's leading girl group,AKB48, circulated. This inspired me to write an article about the worst things that sasaeng fans did to their idols. Without further ado, here it is:

8)  Chased the car that might lead to accident
This happened last 2011 in Singapore. Super Junior's Leetuek and Heechul's lives were in danger when sasaeng fans followed them. They rode a taxi cab and followed the idol's car from the airport. This caused the collision of seven cars. Good thing, nobody was seriously injured.



7) Followed their whereabouts
An example is Super Junior's Siwon mentioned in an interview that fans followed him in the urinal and even took photos of him there. JYJ, EXO and 2pm are also examples.

A fan of EXO-M shaved her head and pretended to be a boy. She entered and asked for a fan sign. 




6) Hacked their personal accounts
Sasaeng fans have their sources. In a Youtube video about sasaeng fans, I learned that they get their idols' numbers through fan cafes wherein they pay for that kind of service. They call the numbers and quickly hang up.  These of course, urges idols to change their numbers. However, the fans can still get it.


A fan hacked Super Junior's Eunhyuk's Twitter account three times by posting indecent pictures.



5)Went to their idols' house
Some just don't go there and watch. Others, write on the walls (just like in Super Junior's dorm). Some go to the extent of staying, stealing and destroying the properties.

4) Hurt themselves
Some go to the extent of hurting themselves just to get their idols' attention. There was an EXO fan who cut her finger. (Sorry, I don't want to upload that picture here. It is really gross).


A fan did this before EXO released Overdose.



3) Hurt the idols
In an interview, a sasaeng fan explained her intention of hurting the idols. It was a simply a sense of accomplishment. For her, slapping an idol will be a fulfillment because that idol will never forget her.

2)Delivered suicidal or confession letters using blood
Some fans go to the extent of being unhygienic. Yup, since most sasaeng fans are females, they even use their menstruation blood to send those "love messages".

1) Invaded personal family affairs and gatherings and threatened to kill them
EXO is considered to have the most number of attacks of sasaeng fans. They already experience the worst. Baekhyun attended his brothers' wedding. Not only the fans crashed the wedding but also threaten Baekhyun slashing his throat.

EXO and their Sasaeng Fans (The Fatal Encounter of Each Member)

Here are just some and documented EXO-sasaeng related accounts: 1. Suho Back in 2013, audio recordings of EXO were leaked online. They were in controversy because 1) they were cursing while playing in an online game 2) they were playing with girls (soon to be found out to be members of A Pink).
